Hold Deletion

Hold deletion refers to the removal of a hold (or postural segment) whichi s when all features appear to be in alignment.

Video Examples of Hold Deletion

Here the signer is saying "real world". The ASL sign REAL usually has a HMH (or PTP) structure. In this instance, however, he deletes the last hold in REAL since he does not "pause" the sign but instead continues to move his hand forward to produce the next sign WORLD.
