Phonological Weak Freeze

 

The weak hand is "frozen" while the active hand does all of the work

The signer indicates different locations around a center and then says “different colleges.” 

 

Note how DIFFERENT is a two-handed sign that is expected to be symmetrical (that is, both hands have the same features and move in the same manner or alternately). In this production, the weak hand remains in place while the active hand moves.
