Transition Insertion

Also known as "movement epenthesis", transition insertion is the addition of a transition (t) between two signs, which often happens between signs in normal conversation.

Video Examples of Transition Insertion

The signer here is producing two signs REAL WORLD. At the end of REAL, the signer does not pause his hand (hold deletion) but continues on to produce WORLD. This continuation itself is known as a transition insertion.
